Weezer began in 1994 and is formed by Rivers Cuomo, Matt Sharp, Patrick Wilson and Brian Bell. The band is a hearty mix of modernistic punk pop and sounds like a enhanced version of grunge core. Their first album, labeled as the Blue Album, is the bands introductory project into the realm of music.

The band became quickly popular with songs like "Buddy Holly", "Undone-The Sweater Song", and "Say it Ain't So" from this album.

Their comical music videos and inspiring guitar riffs rocked audiences all around the world from the get-go from this band.

The band's next album Pinkerton is a torrid mix of clashed pop attuned licks and downtrodden beats. Hit's like "Pink Triangle", "The Good Life" and "El Scorcho" high-light this album.

Other tracks include "Tired of Sex", "Getchoo", "No Other One" and "Butterfly". This album is a pretty decent album in the long haul but not really considered to be the bands best work in their career.

The songs on this album are pretty good and "Pink Triangle" can be considered a legendary break up song.

After the release of this album and the tour that followed, Sharp leaves the band to take his career in a new direction and front man Cuomo disappears from the public eye for a while as he successfully works on completing various life-fulfilling goals.

While the band has achieved huge success with their first album and enticed fans from all around the globe with their positive vibes and comical music videos the second attempt was like a race horse that didn't leave the gate when the gun was fired.

2000, the band reunites to perform on the Warp Tour and replace Sharp with Mike Welsh. This lead the band to do a follow up album which is known as the Green Album. The Green Album re-lit the spark that was Weezer and the band was quickly back on the road and performing.

Shortly after the release of the Green Album Welsh leaves the band due to health reasons and bassist Scott Shriner fills the role. The Green Album marked a milestone for the band and their return to show business.

Hit's from the Green Album include the songs "Hash Pipe", "Island in the Sun", "O Girlfriend" and "Smile". On this album the band re-introduces itself to the world with a grunge-like guitar sound and signature vocals that only Cuomo can provide.

The next year the band is at it again with the release of their Maladroit album. This album includes the tracks "Dope Nose", "Space Rock", "Love Explosion", "Keep Fishin'" and "Death and Destruction". The album performs well for the group as they continued touring.

It would be four years until the next Weezer release. Make Believe arrived on store shelves in 2005. Hit's on this album include "Beverly Hills", "Perfect Situation", "Peace", "The Other Way" and "Haunt You Every Day". "Beverly Hills" once again amazed audiences with Weezer's comical affinity for music video production as the record skyrocketed on the charts.

2007, Rivers Cuomo releases his 1st solo album entitled Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo. On this release the artist includes the hits "Lemonade", "Chess", "Ooh", "Superfriend" and "I Wish You Had an Axe Guitar".

The next year Alone II: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo is also released by the artist. Tracks on this album include "Prettiest Girl in the Whole Wide World", "Paper Face", "Victory on the Hill", "Cold and Damp" and "I'll Think About You".

2008 also marked the release of the Red Album by Weezer. This is the band's latest work and contains the hit's "Pork and Beans", "Heart Songs", "Automatic", "Troublemaker", "Everybody Get Dangerous" and "The Angel and the One". The deluxe version of this disc also contains "Pig", "King", and two other tracks as well.

Weezer is by far the most nerdy band ever; as they are the poster-child for adoring dweebs and poindexters all over the world and will continue to hold the title for many years to come. Weezer's style cannot be compared to other bands of the era as they are the singular exception to Rock 'n' Roll; geek's with guitars who aren't afraid of what they look like but produce awesome sounding music.

Their songs are both original and dynamic sounding, creating a one of a kind feel and vibe. The topics covered in some of their songs is sometimes controversial and differ from the norm. Their guitar licks are unlike any other and produce a feeling of lucid tranquility. The band's quirky yet serious attitude are what make them really make the grade for them though.
