McCain is one of those artists that just grabs your attention. With a healthy vocal range and stunning stage performance this artist still continues to wow the music industry with his amazing talents. Early in his career he released the hit single "I'll Be" which was later featured on the Dr. Phil show. The song became popular at weddings and has become special to many a high-school sweetheart.

Prior to the powerful Messenger album. Edwin and the rest of the band, Larry Chaney, Pete Riley, Craig Shields, Lee Hendricks and Dave Harrison performed many a venue. 1st releasing a rare demo album entitled Nomadic Tendencies and then their first official album Honor Among Thieves in 1995, which slowly crept into the underground jazz scene. This album is a musical masterpiece that should be in every music lovers collection. Title tracks on this album include, "Alive", "Solitude" "Guinevere", "Sorry to a Friend", "American Street", "Russian Roulette", "Bitter Chill", and "Kitchen Song". The sappy love-infused ballads and whirlwind torrid tales of frustration are what make this album unique in it's own right.

Edwin and the Band are true story tellers. The interesting thing about this artist is the exceptional talent for true American Story telling. Highly rooted in Blues and Jazz/Swing, the band belts out soulful music with their instruments of musical magnitude. Not only do the band stun audience with an intense musical range of both flavor and benediction.

At one time, to be thought of as a Christian Band, the bands moral roots only add spice to the flavor of their rock and roll as they feature many interesting cover songs in their works. One's of interest contain a soulful rendition of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" as well as a re-make of the Dire Straits song "Romeo and Juliet" and a Bob Marley cover of "No Woman, No Cry".

Edwin has also worked with many other artists during his career such as Jewel and Mia Sharp. Performing a captivating duet with both artists. He has also worked with Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish in the song "Solitude"

The band's songs offer a light-hearted outlook at life. The true-to-life stories depict the culture of modern times in a positive way.  Their tales are often emotional roller coasters that keep listeners glued to their seats.

After Honor Among Thieves the band started working on their 1997 album entitled Misguided Roses. It is on Misguided Roses, that the hugely successful "I'll Be" track first made it's debut. Other songs on the album include "Darwin's Children", "See the Sky Again", "How Strange it Seems" "The Rhythm of Life", "What Matters" and "Holy City".

The song "Holy City" also features a hidden track titled "Through the Floor" which Edwin also featured as a live performance on his web-site in 2008. Also, the track "What Matters" was also featured in a radio performance where Edwin performed it as a duet with singer Jewel.

In 1999 the band hit main stream media with an acoustic version of their  pop hit "I'll Be" this time on the Messenger Album. Other titles from this album include "I Could Not Ask for More", "Wish in This World", "Beautiful Life", "Prayer to St. Peter", "Promise of You", "Go Be Young", "Sign on the Door", "Do Your Thing" and "See Off This Mountain".

Messenger was a great album. The songs were witty and full of musical prowess. Uplifting and spiritual but not overbearing to the general listener. Messenger is one of those albums that you listen to in the dark with or without a loved one to truly enjoy. The sultry mixes of bluesy guitar licks and tantalizing saxophone make this one of those unforgettable love-type albums that any fan would appreciate.

2001 would see the release of the bands next album simply titled Far from Over. Songs from this album include "Write Me A Song", "One Thing Left", "I've Seen A Love", "Kentucky" and "Jesus, He Loves Me". The album also features the song "Radio Star" which is a haphazard look at the absurdity of being famous. This album was exceptional and showcased the bands growth thus far in their musical careers.

The Austin Sessions was released two years later and is high-lighted as the bands acoustic endeavor. Singles from this album include "I Want It All", "Popcorn Box", "Wino's Lullaby", "Beautiful Day", "Let it Slide", "No Choice", and features acoustic versions of "Go Be Young" and "Sorry to a Friend". Also featured on this album is a cover of Dire Straits "Romeo and Juliet".

Scream and Whisper hit store shelves in 2004, shortly after the release of The Austin Sessions. This album was a hearty mix of love soaked ballads and blusey outreaches. "Shooting Stars", "Say Anything", "Good Enough", "White Crosses", "Wild at Heart", "Couldn't Love You More", "Save the Rain" and a cover version of Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" as a bonus track are featured on this album.

2006, the band releases Lost in America. "Gramercy Park Hotel", "Welcome To Struggleville", "Lost In America", "Black and Blue", "Babylon", and "Truly Believe" are title tracks on this album.

Two years later the band has released their latest album entitled Nobody's Fault but Mine. Tracks include songs such as "Ninety-Nine and a Half", "Can I Get A Witness", "Raise Your Hand", "Good Times" and "Ain't Nobody".
