Latin diva Shakira started her musical career in 1996 with the release of her album Pies Descalzos. With this introductory album the artist dazzled fans with her exceptional voice and enticing style of Latin dance. This album is entirely in Spanish and includes the hits "Estoy Aqui", "Queiro" "Te Necesito", "Donde Estas Corazon" and "Se Quiere, Se Mata".

Donde Estan Los Ladrones was then released in 1998. With an intense energy and a passionate captivation Shakira influenced her fans. Touching songs from this album include "Octavo Dia", "Moscas En La Casa", "Inevitable" and  "Tu".

The Tex-Mex style of guitar on this album is truly unique. While being rooted heavily in the Latin style, the album has hints of rock and roll infused within it. This produces both a very danceable and groovy mix of sounds to please any ear drum.

2000, Shakira takes her music to a more international level by performing for MTV's Unplugged. In this acoustic set she performed hits from Donde Estan Los Ladrones for a live performance.

The record got her noticed by the American audiences and this prompted the artist to release music in English as well as in Spanish.

2001's Laundry Service was the artist's first bi-lingual album and contained the tracks "Whenever, Wherever", "Underneath Your Clothes" in both languages and the tracks "The One", "Eyes Like Yours", and "Ready for Good Times" as well on the album.

Shakira's music is great for that feel good party vibe. The Latin based music is great for dancing and the starlets voice is always a crowd pleaser. Her most popular music always has that sense of freedom and sensuality to it.

Aside from the dance aspect, her love infused ballads are inspirational to the soul and create a feeling of belonging and self-worth. Her music always makes you just get up and move.
Today, he work continues with the release of her album She Wolf as well as doing a song for the recent benefit for Haitian relief.
What’s next for this talented star? Who knows, but I’d bet I’ll be good. Maybe she’ll do a movie or something, as many artists have been expanding their entertainment careers lately.
Personally, it wouldn’t matter to me one way or another because she’s a great singer at the end of the day. I may be a guy, but I can still dig the music of Shakira. It may not have long heavy guitar solo’s but you sure can dance to it.
